Paper I

  1. General intelligence and reasoning
    • It include question of both verbal and nonverbal type
    • Questions will be asked on analogies, similarities and differences, space visualisation, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgement, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts
    • Arithmetical reasoning and figure classification, arithmetic number series, non verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning etc
    • Semantic analogy, symbolic / number analogy, figural classification, semantic classification, semantic series, number series, figural series, problem solving, word building, coding and decoding, numerical operations, symbolic operations, trends, space orientation, space visualisation, Venn diagram, drawing inference, punched hole / pattern – folding and unfolding, figural pattern – folding and unfolding, indexing address matching, embedded figures, critical thinking, emotional intelligence, social intelligence etc
  2. General awareness
    • Question will check general awareness of candidate
    • question will be designed to test knowledge of current events and daily observations
    • Question will be included from history, culture, geography, economics, general policy and scientific research
  3. Quantitative aptitude
    • Question will designed to test the ability of appropriate use of number and number sense
    • Test will include questions from computation of whole numbers, decimals and fractions, relationship between numbers, percentage, ratio and proportion, square roots, averages, interest, profit and loss, discount, partnership, mixture and alligation, time and distance, time and work
    • Basic algebraic identities of school algebra and elementary surds, graph of linear equations, triangle and its various centres, congruence and similarity of triangles, circle and its chord, tangents, angle subtended by chords of circle, common tangents to two or more circles, triangle, quadrilateral, regular polygons, circle, right prism, right circular cone, circular cylinder, sphere, hemisphere, rectangular parallelepiped, regular right pyramid with triangular or square base, trigonometric ratio, degree and radian measures, standard identities, complementary angles, height and distance, histogram, frequency polygon, bar diagram and pie chart
  4. English comprehension
    • This will test the ability to understand correct English and basic comprehension and writing ability

Paper II

  1. English language and comprehension
    • Questions will be designed to check the ability of candidate to understand English
    • Test will include the following topics, fill in the blanks, error recognition, vocabulary, spelling, grammar, sentence structure, synonym antonym, sentence completion, phrase and idiomatic use of words, comprehension etc
